What About Sizes??

 Beagles come in several sizes, shapes and colors. Here is a general breakdown of 3 typical sizes. AKC only recognizes two sizes, the first being the 15" Beagle. The 15 " Beagle can weigh up to 35 pounds and is more than 13" but not more than 15". Then there is the 13" Beagle, this Beagle is 13" or under and can weigh from 16-25 pounds. Last is the Pocket Beagle which is NOT recognized as a size by AKC, all Beagles under 13" are in the same class. Pocket Beagles are generally under 10" and about 10 pounds, sometimes a Beagle is crossed with a Dachsund to create this small size. If you are looking to purchase a Pocket Beagle be sure to ask if it is a purebred Beagle or a Beagle cross. Our Beagles are the 13" variety, all our Beagles are 13" or under and some of our females are only 10" tall, all of our Beagles are 100% purebred and DNA tested (AKC registered). This information is meant to be used as a guide only, there are many variations to these descriptions but this will give you a general understanding of the sizes and types.

 AGREEMENT 

 We provide a sales contract/ guarantee. The contract must be downloaded and completed before any puppy will be released. After completing the contract you can postal mail it, fax it (417-257-0260), or email it back to me.

DEPOSITS/ PAYMENTS

It is recommended that you place a $100.00 deposit on a puppy to hold it until it is ready to meet you, but we DO NOT accept deposits on puppies that are 8 weeks of age or older, the full balance must be paid. Any balance due must be paid in full and all checks cleared before we will release the puppy, please allow 10 days for checks to clear. We prefer Google Checkout but will accept PayPal, U.S.P.S. Money Orders and wire transfers. If anything happens to your puppy or it is found to be less than healthy you will be contacted immediately and your money will be refunded or you may choose another puppy. In the event that you can't complete the purchase of the puppy then your deposit will be held and you may apply it to a future puppy. 

PLEASE NOTE: We accept credit cards through Google Checkout and PayPal. We will not tolerate charge-backs. ANY and ALL charge-backs will be turned over to a collection agency, the charge back will go on your permanent credit report as being an unpaid debt. The charge-back will remain on your credit report until the debt has been paid in full. We hate to make these rules but in the face of ever increasing credit card fraud we need to take every precaution necessary.

 

Air Travel 


Shipping of all puppies costs $250.00 unless otherwise noted. Flying the puppies is not as stressful as you might think, my puppies fly out of St. Louis or Kansas City , during hot temperatures we fly out of Chicago. We can ship to some Canadian airports (there is an additional fee), it just depends on the time of year, please call and ask first. Unfortunately we can no longer fly into Alaska, this is due to Alaska Air charging double airfares. I use a professional pet transport service and they provide excellent care to the puppies during their journey. All  pups come with a brand new travel crate, sample of Eukanuba Medium Breed Small Bites, health certificate, guarantee, micro-chip information, complete health record of vaccinations and dewormings
.

We usually ship every Friday but in the summer we sometimes have to ship on Saturdays, often flights have to be changed to accommodate the temperatures. Please be patient and considerate while we do all we can to get your puppy to you. We make all flight reservations the Monday previous to the puppies departure, I e-mail the flight information to you as soon as I get it back.

-->To make the flight arrangements I must have your complete name, address and 2 phone numbers. Please keep in mind that whoever is claiming the puppy at the airport must show proper identification before they will release the puppy. Please be sure the information you provide to me matches the ID of the claimant, even if your actual address is not the same any longer, puppy crate and ID must match!

 

 Feeding  


We feed Eukanuba Small Bites to all our dogs, the puppies we raise will be fed this same formula. We recommend that you start your new puppy out on at least 1 bag of this feed before making changes to their diet, this will help avoid stomach upset in an already stressful situation. Our puppies are raised in small groups so they have feed available all the time, this may not work for your situation so we suggest that you feed your puppy 4 times a day to start, then as the puppy ages you can drop 1 feeding at a time until the puppy is 1 year old, at 1 year of age you can reduce your dogs feeding to once daily. This will aide in the task of housebreaking as you will know when the puppy is eating and when they will need to eliminate.

Microchips

We offer to microchip your puppy for an additional $20.00, that is quite less than your veterinarian will charge. If you choose to have us microchip the puppy we will send a microchip information card with the puppy. This card will give you the instructions on how to register the chip in your name.
